Lace

First of all I would like to thank my loyal visitors. Even when I am not around they come to visit the blog and comment! Thank you and sorry I am not commenting as much as I would like on your blogs.

Then something I am planning to do already for a long time. I saw a lot of beautiful design lately inspired on lace. Now I want to show you what I mean.

To begin with the beautiful artwork (first photo). This is artwork from Cal Lane. Very impressive, check out the rest of the work here...

Also here, how very old lace is beautifully used in a modern weddingdress.

Not really lace, but I Like it anyway ;) is the heatwave from Joris Laarman.
Again not really lace, but crochet. The crochet table designed by Marcel Wanders for Moooi.

And the Lace fence from demakersvan. What in fact a simple idea makes such a great fence. (Also check out their cinderella table which is just gorgeous)

And while we're on it Mister Philippe Starck did some lace inspired design too! Here you find his Miss lacy chair.

There is this great example of lace design used for urban/public space. But unfortunatly I am not able to show this great square, which I regret, but I will show if I find it. It's a square somewhere in Normandy, France and it has this great lace pattern design beautiful sight from the sky!
Anyway unfortunatly I still need to find a picture.
